What is Pressure Calibration & PSV Setting?
Pressure calibration verifies and adjusts pressure gauges, transmitters and safety relief valves (PSV) against a known standard. PSV setting tunes the valve to open at the exact set pressure.
Safety relief valves protect pressure systems from over-pressure. If a PSV opens too late or not at all, the vessel can rupture. Calibration is often legally required for inspected equipment.
